Remembering The Fallen
(866) 8DEPUTY
The Deputy Sheriffs Magazine is a veteran-owned small business dedicated to memorializing our fallen law enforcement officers. Advertising in the Deputy Sheriffs Magazine helps us support organizations that offers assistance to the families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. Each year many make the ultimate sacrifice and Deputy Sheriffs Magazine is honored to give friends, family, other officers the opportunity to remember them and their sacrifices.
The End of Watch Call or Last Radio Call is a ceremony in which, after a police officer's death (usually in the line of duty but sometimes from illness), the officers from his or her unit or department gather around a police radio, over which the police dispatcher issues one call to the officer, followed by a silence, then a second call, followed by silence, then finally announces that the officer has failed to respond because he or she has fallen in the line of duty.
